    Workers' Compensation Lawyer in Miami

Mireya DeJesus was born on November 1, 1961 in the Bronx, New York. Taking advantage of her bilingual background, she completed the first three years of college undergraduate studies in Puerto Rico. Upon moving to Miami, Florida, she continued her undergraduate studies at Florida International University while working as a legal secretary at a firm specializing in workers' compensation law. Her experience working at that law firm inspired her to pursue a career in law.

After completion of her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Florida International University in 1994, she gained admission to Nova Southeastern University Law School. While in law school, she worked as law clerk for the Judges of Compensation Claims in the Miami Division, and also worked as a law clerk at several prominent legal firms specializing in workers' compensation law. In 1998, she graduated from Nova Southeastern University Law School with honors, ranked in the top ten percent of her class. Since that time, she has been practicing workers' compensation law as a trial attorney and has also handled workers' compensation appeals.
