An AV Preeminent Attorney, Mr. Touby focuses on workers' compensation cases

Drawing upon more than 20 years of legal experience, Mr. Touby has served as a managing partner with Touby, Chait & Sicking, PL since 2013, having been the managing partner of Touby, Grindal and Chait PL from 2012 to 2013. In this position, he focuses on workers' compensation, employment and labor, personal injury, social security disability, and wage and hour claims. Prior to obtaining this role, he was a litigation attorney with Touby and Associates, P.A., from 2010 to 2012, and a litigation attorney with Touby & Woodward P.A. from 1995 to 2009.
Mr. Touby’s interest in the law began early, having been influenced by a family of lawyers, including both of his parents. He began his career at the University of Florida, obtaining a BS in finance in 1992, going on to earn a JD from the University of Miami in 1995. He is admitted to practice in Florida and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He is a member of a number of legal organizations, including the Florida Bar, where he is a member of the executive council of the workers' compensation section, president of Florida Workers’ Advocates (FWA) former chair of the workers' compensation rules advisory committee, and former vice-chair of the Dade County Bar Association workers' compensation committee. He is board certified in workers’ compensation.
He is a respected voice in the legal community, and is a frequent lecturer on workers’ compensation. He has served as the vice president of fundraising with the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund since 2012, having previously served as president of the Friends of 440, Inc. He has served as a litigator in a wide range of cases, including Morrison Mgmt. Specialists v. Pierre in 2011, Reese v. Reemployment Assistance Comm. in 2012, and Castellanos v. Next Door Company in 2013.
In recognition of his commitment to law, Mr. Touby received an award for leadership from the Florida Workers' Advocates in 2017. He previously received an Outstanding Claimant’s Attorney Award from the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund, and Richard Sadow Award for Service to the Workers' Compensation Community from the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund. Since 2015, Mr. Touby has been honored as a Super Lawyer and member of the Florida Legal Elite. He was previously named a Rising Star in Florida by Super Lawyer Magazine in 2009.
