Sylvia Mora was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She attended the University of Miami and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism in 1997. She attended Florida State University College of Law and obtained her Juris doctorate degree in 2001. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2002. She became Board Certified in Workers’ Compensation in 2018.

As one of our Miami workers' compensation lawyers, she has devoted her legal career to the field of workers' compensation law and has represented both injured workers, and employers and their insurance companies. Ms. Mora also practices in the field of unemployment compensation law representing claimants whose Employers are contesting their entitlement to receive unemployment compensation benefits.
